About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated, professional company driver for a company-owned truck based at the Venice, Florida terminal. This is a full-time, W-2, over-the-road position serving nationwide routes. Drivers are generally on the road for two weeks to 16 days, with the option to stay out longer. Routes run from the Southeast to the Northwest and back; no Northeastern states are included. Approximately 90% of loads require no touch, and driver-assist work is paid extra. Veterans are encouraged to apply. No mandatory vaccines are required. Compensation is calculated per mile for all odometer/GPS miles, including loaded and empty miles. The stated average weekly gross is approximately $2,000–$2,500, based on experience. Additional compensation may include extra-stop pay, other bonuses, per-diem tax benefits, and bonuses for clean inspections or exceptional work. Direct deposit is made after the round trip is complete and the driver returns to the terminal. Drivers receive a detailed pay report. The company offers friendly professional dispatchers, flexible home time and ample vacation time, easy paperwork, newer equipment, a fuel card, and cash advances for over-the-road expenses. Health insurance and PTO are currently unavailable.

Requirements

Class A CDL and a current DOT physical.
At least 2 years of experience.
Experience pulling a 53-foot dry van or refrigerated trailer.
Must speak English.
Must have a TWIC card or obtain one within 30 days of employment.
No DOT record or preventable accidents in the past 12 months.
No major violations in the past 36 months, including reckless driving or careless endangerment.
No more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 2 violations in any 12-month period.
No DUI in the past 60 months.
Overall safe driving record and no positive drug or alcohol tests.
Knowledge of Federal and Florida DOT and hours-of-service rules.
Desired personal attributes include attention to detail, responsibility, dependability, safety-mindedness, career-mindedness, and optimism.
Ineligible driving history includes vehicular homicide; an alcohol- or drug-related offense in a commercial vehicle; hit and run; theft of a motor vehicle; an invalid CDL; driving while a license is revoked; or 3 or more chargeable accidents in the past 3 years.
