Part-Time Outside Service Golf Attendant at Origins Golf Club
About The Position
Members of the Outside Service Team provide exceptional, first-class service to guests and members. The role creates a positive first impression of the golf course and helps maintain functional course operations through guest assistance, golf cart cleaning, and other assigned tasks. The position is part-time and based at Origins Golf Club in Inlet Beach, Florida. This is a fast-paced outdoor role that may include indoor work as needed. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions and noise from golf carts, equipment, and the active driving range. Duties listed are not exclusive, and responsibilities may be amended to meet business and organizational needs.
Requirements
- Sufficient education and literacy to identify and read product labels and communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English is preferred.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to perform consistent work to high standards.
- Ability to remain discreet and respect guests’ privacy.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly manner.
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
- Basic knowledge of golf operations.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts individually.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
- Ability to spend the entire shift on one’s feet and walking, sometimes running.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and kneel while handling equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as cleaning, retrieving balls, or setting up areas.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the golf industry is preferred.
- Previous customer experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and members in a friendly manner.
- Anticipate and meet guest needs whenever possible.
- Remain accessible and assist at any station where needed.
- Run food and beverages to guests.
- Prepare carts for operations and maintain the cart fleet.
- Clean and inspect rental golf sets and immediately report deficiencies to professional staff.
- Load clubs and equipment onto carts for guests.
- Transport golf clubs from the receiving area to staging areas in preparation for play.
- Wash, clean, and stock the golf cart fleet.
- Prepare and maintain the driving range.
- Monitor and clean short-game and long-game practice areas.
- Clean the range and retrieve balls.
- Maintain golf course grounds.
- Perform general restroom cleaning along the course.
- Ensure clean, folded towels are available.
- Monitor supplies of towels, scorecards, pencils, and golf tees.
- Maintain an organized and clean bag room operation.
- Monitor the parking lot.
- Perform Equipment Drop Attendant duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
