About The Position

Goodin Company is a leader in the Plumbing/HVAC and Piping distribution business, and we are currently seeking a proven outside sales representative to fill an immediate need for our expanding market. Outside Salespeople play a crucial role in driving revenue and growth for our company by reaching out to potential customers, building relationships, and ultimately closing sales.

Requirements

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and meet sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey product or service benefits to clients.
  • A good understanding of the product or service being sold and the ability to explain its features and benefits.
  • Dedication to customer service and building long term client relationships.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage a busy schedule.
  • A positive approach to identifying and solving client issues or objections.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Solid basic computer skills for generating quotes, sales orders, and daily communication.
  • High School, College and/or Tech School preferred
  • Previous outside sales experience is needed.
  • Experience with Order, Quotation software.
  • Knowledge of building material distribution preferable in Mechanical Trades.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential customers to generate new business relationships.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the products or services being offered and be able to explain their features, benefits, and applications to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals to potential clients, outlining how the product or service can meet their needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to make informed sales strategies.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and goals.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs.
