About The Position

The Compact Sales Specialist is responsible for representing products focused on Compact Construction Equipment; Track Loaders, Mini Excavators, and Telehandlers in a defined geographic territory with the ultimate goal of sales. In addition, this position will have a focus on renting Compact Construction Equipment as well as renting some size classes of Main Line Construction Equipment. Some target customers include general contractors, utility contractors, concrete contractors, landscape/hardscape contractors, and earthmoving contractors. What is required: A friendly and outgoing demeanor, complemented by strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills, with a talent for building and maintaining long-term business relationships.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills.
  • General knowledge of heavy construction equipment
  • General knowledge of retail financing
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • A minimum of three years of sales or industry experience is required
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Nurturing and expanding existing relationships with well-established customer base
  • Keeping updated and thorough records of calls, leads, and sales forecasts within CRM software
  • Developing and managing a defined territory
  • Maintaining up to date product knowledge
  • Prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales
  • Demonstrating a proactive sales approach with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
