About The Position

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join their team. This role involves developing and managing a portfolio of B2B customers, including commercial fleets, tire dealers, service centers, and municipalities. The representative will identify new sales opportunities, promote and sell commercial tires, retreads, and related services, and educate customers on product offerings. Maintaining customer satisfaction, preparing sales proposals, and collaborating with internal teams are key aspects of this position. The role also requires staying informed on market trends, representing the company at events, and utilizing CRM tools for tracking sales activity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B outside sales, preferably in automotive, tire, or fleet services.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial tires and related products is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to manage a sales territory and work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Overtime maybe required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of B2B customers including commercial fleets, tire dealers, service centers, and municipalities.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Promote and sell a full line of commercial tires, retreads, and related services.
  • Educate customers on product offerings, pricing, availability, and warranty programs.
  • Maintain regular in-person contact with customers to ensure satisfaction and address service needs.
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales proposals and negotiate pricing in line with company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with service managers, distribution centers, and support teams to ensure timely delivery and excellent service.
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and new products.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer appreciation events.
