About The Position

At Lakeside Surfaces, we transform spaces by fabricating countertops and other surfaces like quartz, granite, and porcelain. We are seeking a high-performing Outside Sales Representative to join our Wholesale Sales Team and expand our presence throughout Southeast Michigan, focusing on kitchen and bath dealers, contractors, builders, designers, and other wholesale partners in the Brighton market. This role involves managing a defined territory, building long-term client relationships, and using a consultative sales approach to drive revenue growth. It is ideal for a self-starter with experience in B2B, wholesale, building materials, construction, design, or related sales who excels at building partnerships and uncovering opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of B2B, wholesale, building materials, construction, design, or related sales experience.
  • Proven track record of managing a territory and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience developing new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Consultative and strategic sales mindset.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused, empathetic, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field while staying connected to the broader team.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel throughout Southeast Michigan, including Brighton and surrounding markets.
  • Occasional travel to other Lakeside Surfaces locations or customer sites may be required.
  • Clean driving record.

  • Background working with kitchen and bath dealers, fabricators, builders, remodelers, contractors, or interior designers highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build and grow Lakeside Surfaces’ wholesale presence throughout Southeast Michigan.
  • Manage a structured pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Identify new business opportunities with kitchen and bath dealers, contractors, builders, remodelers, and design professionals.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to refine sales approach.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with owners, designers, purchasing teams, contractors, and other key decision-makers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale clients, resolving concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Represent Lakeside Surfaces with professionalism in the field, at client locations, and at industry events.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale through installation.

  • Competitive base salary starting at $45,000 to $55,000 plus uncapped commission potential
