About The Position

ESR Motor Systems is seeking a driven, results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to develop new industrial business across Eastern South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina east of I-95. This home-based, field-sales role is backed by the company’s Rock Hill, South Carolina branch and experienced inside sales team. The primary mission is to win new customers by identifying and pursuing industrial prospects, learning their operations and equipment needs, uncovering problems and opportunities, and developing solutions that create profitable, long-term business. ESR is a national industrial distributor specializing in electric motors, variable frequency drives, gearboxes, and related products. The company provides leading brands, substantial inventory, technical expertise, advanced technology, and responsive customer support to help salespeople solve customer problems and build successful territories. This is a consultative, problem-solving sales role rather than an order-taking position. The representative is responsible for turning ESR’s products, expertise, tools, and service capabilities into meaningful customer results. The role offers autonomy and ownership of an assigned territory, inside-sales and quoting support, access to company leadership, and manufacturer-supported product and technical training. The position also offers potential advancement into sales or branch leadership. Compensation includes a base salary of $75,000–$100,000, expected first-year total compensation of $110,000–$150,000, and a guaranteed minimum total compensation for the first 12 months beginning at $100,000 and determined individually. Commission is uncapped and based primarily on gross profit, with additional performance bonuses. ESR also reimburses reasonable business-related expenses and provides a phone and laptop; eligibility for a company vehicle is based on sustained sales performance. Mature, high-performing territories may offer substantial long-term earning potential.
