About The Position

Sid Harvey’s, an HVAC wholesale distributor of heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment and products, is seeking a full-time HVAC Outside Sales Person for its Negaunee, Michigan Location. The primary goal is to improve sales growth by providing excellent customer service, assisting customers promptly and courteously, and generating sales through up-selling and add-on sales. The role requires performing all job responsibilities safely, timely, and efficiently, while representing Sid Harvey’s professionally.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• 3 years of safe driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Graduate or equivalency diploma required.
• Must pass drug test, credit and background search.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Sid Harvey products (i.e. Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating).

Responsibilities

• Growing sales.
• Maintaining customer profiles and other data on the salesperson’s account.
• Completing all Customer Relationship Management Forms.
• Achieving monthly growth of gross profit dollars as compared to prior year performance for assigned accounts.
• Providing constant competitive feedback to the Regional Sales Manager or Territory Manager.
• Keeping Manager informed about customer relationships, results of sales calls, new accounts, and competition activities.
• Presenting Professional Sales Presentations.
• Conducting self in a professional and ethical manner at all times, treating external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Demonstrating knowledge of Sid Harvey products (i.e. Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating) to meet customer’s needs.
• Updating and maintaining customer’s pricing files.
• Continuous cold calling to build new business.
• Continuously updating product knowledge through any available resources, staying informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability, and knowing the location of merchandise in the warehouse.
• Performing all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules, and informing the Regional Manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
• Assisting in year-end physical inventories as requested.
• Performing other responsibilities as directed.
• Passing a drug test, credit, and background search.
