About The Position

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a motivated Outside Sales professional to join their team. This role focuses on generating new business and managing existing accounts within the commercial tire industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn about commercial vehicle maintenance and tire services. You will be responsible for prospecting, building relationships with key decision-makers, and achieving sales targets while representing a leading company in the industry.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years or older to drive.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel locally for customer visits.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime maybe required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience in B2B, automotive, tire, or fleet industries preferred.
• Basic understanding of tire types, commercial vehicle maintenance, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship-building with fleet managers, trucking companies, and owner-operators.
• Maintain and grow existing customer accounts by providing exceptional service and follow-up.
• Recommend appropriate tires and maintenance services based on customer needs, vehicle specifications, and usage patterns.
• Develop sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
• Collaborate with service teams to ensure timely delivery and service fulfillment.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies (e.g., TPMS, retreading, fleet services).
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Use CRM tools and reporting systems to track leads, opportunities, and sales performance.
