About The Position

The Nevada Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs aligns the work and impact of 97 community-based Clubhouses, school-based programs and early learning centers. Boys & Girls Clubs serve 37,000 youth in 30 communities statewide, delivering outcome-based programs during out-of-school time hours with the support of highly engaged and trained professional mentors. The Nevada Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs advocates for and supports legislation and county and state agency partnerships that promote the sustainability of its programs and facilities. Its efforts aim to continuously improve our services in our communities by identifying needs, raising awareness, and increasing engagement in public policy decisions that bring meaningful benefits to Nevada’s youth and families. The Outreach and Events Coordinator plans and executes community, member and board outreach activities to ensure proactive, professional public relations and timely communications. This position supports senior leadership by coordinating event logistics and related travel, advocacy efforts, digital promotions and social media activities, and office administrative functions. The position manages internal and external relationships, and Alliance resources with transparency and integrity. This dynamic position requires strong organization skills, attention to detail, professional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Outreach Coordinator will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Occasional flexibility on days and hours is permitted, and event demands may require alterations to regular workdays or hours and include occasional travel obligations.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent the Alliance professionally to the community
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Able to produce and provide reports in a timely manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy

  • Able to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and general office technology
  • Proficient with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of related experience and client service preferred
  • Must be able to pass with a clean criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass with a clean driving record and provide proof of current driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance

  • Some higher education experience preferred in business, marketing or non-profit management

Responsibilities

  • Organize logistics related to Alliance-led internal and external events, conference exhibits, member and board meetings including venue reservation and access, set-up, clean-up, technology needs, vendors, catering and refreshments, booth and/or meeting materials
  • Compose professional communication and collateral including e-newsletters, signage, invitations and programs, branded gifts, agendas, minutes and emails. As needed, secure printing estimates and manage the final production of materials
  • Support organizational communication by maintaining internal and external directories, event and activity calendars, and a statewide virtual bulletin board
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external events; greet and assist visitors
  • Support travel arrangements as needed, including flights, lodging, and transportation. Occasional in-state travel is required to support regional or statewide events and meetings
  • Lead statewide social media campaign and event postings
  • Build audience/followers and capture lawmaker and state partner content on policy priorities
  • Support the implementation of a posting platform for automated postings
  • Provide monthly analytics on engagement
  • Collaborate with office mates to maintain an organized, clean, secure, welcoming and professional work environment
  • Order, stock, and track expenses related to office and outreach supplies
  • Submit expense reports related to office and outreach operations
  • Manage all office-based conference room reservations and meeting logistics
