About The Position

The Outreach and Operations Director (OOD) is a dynamic leader responsible for operational excellence and strategic relationships with constituents and donors. The role advances Breakthrough T1D’s mission by expanding community reach, managing volunteers who deliver programs across the territory, and ensuring territory operations align with organizational goals and guidelines. The OOD uses program metrics and key indicators to improve efficiency, acquisition, activation, engagement, goal attainment, and performance. The position supports revenue generation and supporter-base growth by aligning staff activities to build and activate newly diagnosed supporter pipelines and engaging healthcare providers to distribute Breakthrough T1D resources. The OOD is a people leader for the Community Engagement Manager and operations staff. The position leads acquisition and activation strategies; volunteer recruitment, development, and management; community and mission awareness; and territory administration. It represents Breakthrough T1D in the community and collaborates with internal teams, volunteers, healthcare providers, community partners, and donors to achieve engagement and fundraising goals.
