About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outreach Director to lead and manage our Customer Outreach Program. The Outreach Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic outreach initiatives aimed at increasing security protections for governmental entities through the promotion and education of services available through our Managed Security Services (MSS) program. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of cybersecurity services, and a proven track record in marketing, customer outreach, campaign management, and customer engagement. Candidate must live in the Austin, TX area. This role is hybrid.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Master’s degree and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience.
Proven experience in marketing and communications, including development of materials across digital and print mediums.
Proven experience marketing IT services, preferably cybersecurity services.
Demonstrated experience speaking and presenting at conferences, webinars, or public events; comfortable presenting to large audiences, including groups of 500+.
Previous experience leading a team or managing staff in a marketing, outreach, or communications function.
Must be a US Citizen and able to pass the CJIS background check.
Must live in the Austin, TX area.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for the customer outreach and growth team.
Work with Managed Security Services program leadership and vendors to ensure a cohesive marketing and communications approach for the MSS program.
Develop and present educational webinars focused on Managed Security Services to inform and educate eligible customers about the benefits and implementation of security solutions.
Create comprehensive, customer-friendly service descriptions and marketing materials for Managed Security Services to effectively communicate the value and features of our offerings.
Collaborate with MSS program leadership to author security services and educational articles for inclusion in newsletters and direct customer communications and oversee distribution to keep eligible customers informed of the latest security practices and program updates.
Represent the organization at events and cybersecurity-related conferences, delivering presentations on Managed Security Services to raise awareness and educate potential customers.
Proactively engage with customers by providing prompt, consultative guidance in response to inquiries about services and nurture leads to convert interest into actionable engagement and service adoption.
Plan, execute, and manage comprehensive outreach campaigns aimed at increasing customer awareness and utilization of Managed Security Services; monitor campaign progress and report on activities, accomplishments, and effectiveness.
Assess the success of outreach campaigns in terms of customer engagement and the number of customers receiving Managed Security Services; identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize results.
Compile and present the annual customer outreach report/deliverable, detailing the efforts, successes, and future strategies of the outreach program.
Conduct communication and training activities to ensure messaging is clear and that customers understand how to implement and benefit from Managed Security Services.
Perform marketing and outreach activities to grow the customer base, including identifying new outreach opportunities, building partnerships, and leveraging various channels to increase visibility and engagement.
