About The Position

Bi-Bett Corporation is a California non-profit engaged for the past 50 years in the treatment and recovery of adults with primary substance use and co-occurring disorders, alcohol, or other drug problems. Originally based in Contra Costa County, Bi-Bett now operates residential and outpatient programs in Alameda and Solano Counties as well. The Bi-Bett Mission: To provide effective and affordable human services to individuals, families and communities with alcohol and drug related problems in the belief that everyone has value and can grow through change if given one’s rightful opportunity to choose. Our goal is to create culturally appropriate alcohol and drug-free environments in which one may experience personal and social growth.

Requirements

Minimum three years of experience providing substance use disorder treatment.
Certified AOD Counselor Required through credentialing body (i.e.. CCAPP, CADTP, etc.)
Knowledge of: The methods and techniques of culturally competent early intervention and treatment methods for Clients in individual and group settings.
Knowledge of Evidence Based Treatment Practices such as Trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and DBT.
Knowledge and belief in collaboration and client centered treatment planning and service delivery.
Other essentials of knowledge: ASAM Criteria DSM-5 diagnosis Harm reduction principles Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) HIPAA Trauma-informed care Motivational Interviewing Co-occurring disorders Recovery-oriented systems of care
Ability to: Provide crisis intervention and clinical support for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Effectively facilitate individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices.
Build collaborative working relationships with clients, staff, referral sources, and community partners.
Lead and support a multidisciplinary team while promoting accountability, continuous quality improvement, and efficient program operations.
Prioritize competing responsibilities, exercise sound clinical judgment, and maintain compliance with agency, county, and regulatory requirements while operating within budget.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one year of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
Experience with intensive outpatient services preferred.
Experience with Medi-Cal/DMC-ODS documentation.
Experience with electronic health records.
Experience preparing for audits or accreditation surveys preferred.
Bilingual speaking candidates highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Maintain and ensure that program is adhering to approved budgets.
Maintain documentation and files in accordance with contract requirements, state laws, regulations & agency policies
Supervise and support staff to enhance skills and assist with development of goals.
When appropriate, implement process improvement projects to enhance efficiency & quality of treatment services delivered
Coordinate with billing to ensure that both accuracy and billing timelines are met.
Utilize evidence-based practices (EBPs) in alignment with fidelity requirements.
Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the outpatient and intensive outpatient program.
Ensure all clinical services are delivered ethically, professionally, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agency policies, and ethical standards.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with referral sources, including counties, hospitals, probation, parole, behavioral health providers, primary care providers, and community organizations.
Represent Bi-Bett in community meetings, networking events, and stakeholder committees
Assist in marketing and outreach efforts to increase referrals and program utilization
Review documentation for quality, compliance, and medical necessity
Ensure compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and contractual requirements
Ensure accurate utilization of the electronic health record.
Train staff on documentation standards and workflow improvements.
Provide consultation and leadership during client crises, safety concerns, and critical incidents.
Ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up of incident reports
Provide clinical supervision, group supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to counseling staff.
Maintain a limited client caseload and facilitate individual or group counseling as needed to support program operations
Monitor census, admissions, discharges, retention, and productivity data.
Prepare reports required by leadership, counties, and funding sources.
