Outpatient Mental Health Therapist - 1099
About The Position
Mamaya Health is seeking a compassionate, fully licensed Mental Health Therapist to join its outpatient team. Supported by the Outpatient Clinical Team Lead, the therapist will provide high-quality clinical care, uphold Mamaya Health’s mission and values, and contribute to a collaborative, client-centered practice. The position is remote and classified as a 1099 contractor. Mamaya Health aims to make mental healthcare equitable and accessible, including by accepting most major insurance plans and offering sliding-scale options. Its mission is to provide mental healthcare for women, those they love, and every season of life.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Independent licensure in Florida, such as LCSW or LPC-MHSP.
- Prior experience in outpatient, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization, or residential treatment settings.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to inclusivity and cultural humility.
- Strong self-accountability and autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy.
- Complete documentation within Mamaya Health’s established timeframes.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead and other departments to support best practices and compliance.
- Manage an individual book of business, monitor caseload health, and proactively address key performance indicators.
- Use measurement-based care routinely, incorporating assessments to track client outcomes and inform treatment.
- Coordinate care with other providers, such as medication prescribers, primary care physicians, OB-GYNs, dietitians, and other therapists, and with family members when appropriate.
- Participate actively in monthly and quarterly meetings with Mamaya Health Leadership.
