Outpatient Licensed Therapist (LMFT/LCSW)
About The Position
Heritage Oaks Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Therapist (LCSW/LMFT) to join their team. The therapist will perform social services functions, including assisting patients with their bio-psychosocial needs to achieve optimal emotional health. This role involves providing therapeutic treatment skills, basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and offering information and referrals. The therapist will also formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and support groups, communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community providers, and interact with community agencies for patient assessment and service. Additionally, the role includes providing liaison and referral services to community agencies and appearing in court when requested or subpoenaed.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, or related discipline.
- Social Worker requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
- Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences required.
- LCSW/LMFT required.
- CPR required.
- Handle With Care training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
- Must be able to pass a department competency exam upon hire.
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
Responsibilities

- Interact and communicate with community agencies in assessment of and service to patients.
