LPN FOR OUTPATIENT FACILITY FULL TIME
About The Position
Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring a full-time, onsite Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role supports the psychiatric patient population by evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care. The nurse assists physicians with psychiatric assessments and mental status examinations, conducts individual and group psychotherapy sessions, and leads medication education groups. The position also involves administering medications as ordered, teaching and supporting patients in developing self-care techniques, and collaborating with other health professionals to promote continuity of care. The nurse works under the guidance of a registered nurse or program director, stays informed about changes in nursing practices, and participates in nursing performance improvement programs to support patient safety and healthcare compliance.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Organized and self-disciplined.
- Thorough documentation and communication skills.
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and stay current with best practices in nursing and psychiatric care.
