About The Position

Provides direct patient care in an outpatient infusion and apheresis setting, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization's policies, values, and mission. This is an onsite, full-time position at UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Outpt Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado, scheduled for 72 hours per two-week pay period on day shifts. Pay is $35.29–$54.71 per hour, dependent on relevant experience.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than three years of experience.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Six months of nursing (RN) experience.
BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in hand before the start date; the card must remain valid through 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care related to infusion services based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborate across disciplines as needed to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate patient and/or family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Delegate patient care effectively to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
Use critical thinking and decisive judgment, work with minimal supervision, and take appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.
