OUTPATIENT DIETITIAN - HRLY
About The Position
This opportunity gives you the chance to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting a diverse patient population, primarily adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric and adolescent patients. The role supports a variety of nutrition needs, including weight management, cardiac, renal, and protein-calorie malnutrition, with occasional requests for enteral nutrition support. You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.
Requirements
- Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
- Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
- Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
- Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
- Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
- Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
- Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
- Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
