About The Position

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our dedicated team and contribute to outstanding patient care in a collaborative and academically focused environment. This role involves cross-coverage in NICU/Pediatric, and critical care trauma. The position is located at Morrison Healthcare at Kern Medical Hospital in an acute care trauma hospital setting. The schedule is Monday-Friday day availability up to approximately 20 hours per week, with weekends as business requires. The hourly pay rate is between $40/hour and $54/hour. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
  • Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
  • Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
  • Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
  • Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.
