About The Position

This position is located at Morrison Healthcare at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North Mississippi, in an Inpatient/Outpatient setting. The role offers part-time/PRN/Per Diem availability with flexible scheduling, including availability on weekends, holidays, and Monday–Friday for vacation coverage and to support business needs as required. The primary responsibility is to provide individualized nutrition assessment, intervention, and education to inpatient and outpatient populations while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team. Requirements

• Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible.
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
• Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
• Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.
