About The Position

Roxbury is seeking a compassionate Outpatient Counselor to help regenerate its outpatient substance use program in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The role provides treatment for substance use disorders at outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care, using an integrated approach for clients with co-occurring mental health needs. Services include assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient treatment. The position is paid hourly rather than on a fee-for-service basis. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with day and evening hours, including two evenings per week. Evening shift differentials, weekly productivity bonuses, and a sign-on bonus are currently offered. Roxbury offers substantial paid time off with calendar-year carryover, an Extended Leave Bank earned separately from PTO, a generous training budget, local seminar funding, and educational assistance.

Requirements

A master’s degree or higher from an accredited college, majoring in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology, or a related field; or
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology, or a related field, and one year of clinical experience; or
An associate degree from an accredited college in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology, or a related field, and two years of clinical experience; or
Licensed RN with one year of counseling experience in a health or human services field; or
Certified addictions counselor.

Responsibilities

Maintain a caseload that meets patients’ needs and complies with regulatory guidelines.
Complete required documentation, including psychosocial summaries, treatment plans, and progress notes, accurately and on time.
Provide evidence-based and other approved counseling techniques and interventions to facilitate client success.
Offer assessments, individual sessions, and group sessions.
Provide appropriate interventions to engage patients who are not compliant with treatment.
