This position assists in the planning, organization, and development of the Restore Therapy Services Outpatient practice. The role involves coordinating, reviewing, and conducting all outpatient billing, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of required documentation, regulatory requirements, insurance requirements, patient information, and billing. It also includes insurance verification for outpatient patients, ensuring efficiency in department deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy within the billing system. The coordinator will document monthly data and statistics for leadership, process end-of-month billing, perform audits, and prepare/organize billing reports. This role acts as an insurance liaison between patients, responsible parties, therapists, and insurance companies. Additionally, it coordinates all outpatient information, including new patient letters, tracking logs, documentation requirements, and patient information. The position oversees all communication regarding payment for outpatient services, including communication with families, administration, responsible parties, patients, and sponsors for any balances owed or not covered by insurance. Specific duties include Blue Cross Blue Shield Administration, Blue Cross Blue Shield Credentialing, NPI Credentialing, outpatient claim status administration, and outpatient collections. The role coordinates and oversees outpatient intake, including referrals and physician orders, and acts as a physician liaison. It also involves quality assurance reviews, technical audits, and medical record audits. Management of the Medicare FISS system, including daily updates and downloads, is a key responsibility, as is providing outpatient customer service. The coordinator will assist with new implementations of processes and programs for the outpatient practice, provide class registration and communication support for wellness programs, and handle trending for the outpatient practice and reporting for the Board of Directors and state guidelines. Follow-up on referrals and residents identified from a corporate level, and mailing marketing supplies as needed from Corporate to management/marketers are also part of the duties. The role ensures outpatient billing adheres to the Company Code of Ethics and Compliance policy expectations, and reports revenue analysis monthly. Assistance with Outpatient coverage when a Director of Operations needs support, and outpatient support for Directors of Operations are expected. Skilled Nursing and contract billing support may be required as needed. The ability to work independently and collaboratively with other billing team members, demonstrating individual initiative and problem-solving skills, is essential.
