About The Position

Attends pickleball check-ins, assists in promotion and administration of programs, takes payments for pickleball and miniature golf, and keeps the shop and immediate grounds in an orderly fashion. This role requires the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and involves performing duties in various weather conditions. The attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and staff, maintaining facility cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School degree
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend, in English, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Knowledge of rules, regulations and operational use with regard to POA amenity use.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect pickleball shop, immediate building area, and equipment daily for upkeep and safety issues, taking action to correct any substandard condition.
  • Conduct check-in procedures and collect all proper fees.
  • Help to maintain and police court reservation schedule.
  • Stay current on POA rules and regulations relative to facility operations and play.
  • Assist in the sale of merchandise and other equipment.
  • Use tact and diplomacy in dealing with persons, verbally, electronically, or by telephone.
  • Monitor and check court conditions for potential problems and communicate with maintenance employees or other leadership.
  • Assist in promoting and arranging matches for property owners, visitors, and guests.
  • Assist in keeping the building, bathrooms, and surrounding outside area clean as necessary.
  • Aid and assist in the development, promotion, and sustainability of the facility.
  • May be required to assist in other outdoor recreation activities, programs, and events.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, making every effort to accommodate customer needs.
  • Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention and safety policy, enforcing all facility and recreation location rules and regulations.
  • Report to supervisor any safety materials needed or maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean amenity/facility at all times.
