About The Position
This role involves dismantling and recycling electrical equipment both indoors and outdoors year-round. The laborer will use specialized tools and equipment to process materials in a fast-paced industrial setting, adhering strictly to safety procedures.
Requirements
- 2+ years of outdoor construction, demolition, or similar physically demanding work
- 1+ year of oxy-fuel torch cutting experience
- 2+ years operating heavy equipment such as telehandlers, cranes, or excavators
- 5+ years of forklift operating experience
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle heavy materials throughout the shift
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
Nice To Haves
- Scrap yard or metal recycling experience
- Experience identifying and sorting ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Responsibilities
- Work indoors and outdoors year-round dismantling and recycling electrical equipment
- Use oxy-fuel torches and industrial tools to dismantle transformers
- Sort and separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other material-handling equipment
- Safely move heavy materials throughout the facility
- Follow all safety procedures in a fast-paced industrial environment
