About The Position

The Outdoor Dust Collector Operator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating industrial dust collection systems used in a manufacturing facility. This role helps ensure a safe, clean, and efficient production environment by preventing dust buildup and maintaining proper airflow and filtration performance.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
Experience with Sit-down Forklift
Understanding of industrial safety practices preferred.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor outdoor dust collection equipment and filtration systems.
Inspect dust collectors, ductwork, filters, fans, and hoppers for proper operation.
Empty collection bins, drums, or hoppers as required.
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on dust collection systems.
Identify equipment malfunctions and report maintenance needs promptly.
Follow safety procedures related to combustible dust, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements.
Monitor gauges, airflow readings, and pressure differentials.
Maintain housekeeping standards around outdoor equipment areas.
Assist maintenance and production teams as needed.
Complete inspection logs and maintenance records accurately.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
