About The Position

CULTA is seeking an Outdoor Cultivator to join their Outdoor Cultivation team in Cambridge, MD. The Outdoor Cultivator will work under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Supervisor. This role requires adherence to cultivation SOPs, completion of compliance and security training, and collaboration with cultivation laborers and the Crew Supervisor to perform daily cultivation tasks efficiently and correctly. The position involves hands-on work in all aspects of cultivation, including transplanting, cloning, pruning, waste disposal, harvesting, foliar spraying, cleaning, trellising, inventory tagging, and mixing fertilizer solutions. A key requirement is the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Must be able to qualify as a registered grower agent with the Commission.
  • Must not have any violent or drug-related felony convictions.
  • Ability to work standing and remain active for long durations.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. or more regularly each day.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn hydroponic cultivation practices, life cycle of cannabis, and common pests of cannabis.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow direction well.
  • Ability to work with a team of laborers, help other workers complete tasks and develop skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks correctly in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to work onsite.
  • Must be able to pass all applicable background checks.
  • Must be able to pass drug test as required by Maryland law.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and execute specific methods and procedures for all tasks outlined in current cultivation SOPs.
  • Monitor plant health and growth rates, reporting any changes or discrepancies to management.
  • Perform daily scouting activities and plant feeding assessments.
  • Conduct all cleaning operations throughout the facility with efficiency, correctness, and attention to detail.
  • Engage in hands-on tasks including transplanting, cloning, pruning, waste disposal, harvesting, foliar spraying, cleaning procedures, trellising, use of inventory tracking tags, and mixing fertilizer solutions.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
