About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Outbound Supervisor (Shipping Focus) to lead daily warehouse shipping operations and ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment. This role is responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality and safety standards, and developing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who excels in a fast-paced distribution environment, can effectively manage performance, and is committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Outbound Supervisor will be directly responsible for developing and influencing all distribution production and shipping processes by applying strategic direction in the areas of quality, productivity, employee performance and supervision.

Requirements

  • 2+ years recent distribution/warehouse supervisory experience
  • Voice to Pick System experience
  • Shipping experience
  • Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and reporting
  • Superb verbal & written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence others
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, diverse team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Champion of People and Change Agent Skills
  • Strong and proven analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated focus on internal and external customers.
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and other relevant software.
  • Highly motivated, with a track record of achieving personal, team, and organizational goals, creates a sense of urgency and delegates appropriately.
  • Capable of positively motivating oneself, individuals, and teams to exceed performance expectations despite complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership style rooted in high integrity and focused on overall Mission of Imperial.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team to meet goals and expectations within the shipping department
  • Monitor and oversee shipping activities to make sure that customers receive their orders
  • Mentor and empower team members for their success
  • Plan and assign work/work schedules to best meet goals and expectations
  • Train/cross-train team members in all functions of the shipping department
  • Conduct interviews and recommendations on hiring candidates
  • Hold team accountable for performance management; complete terminations if necessary
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards, improving productivity, and driving a culture of process improvement
  • Prepare all reports and logs as required.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Operate and be proficient in the use of the following warehouse equipment ie; pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and transporters. (Other equipment may be required as needed)
  • Participates in special projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
