As a PT Outbound Freight Handler, you will load and unload freight onto and off of equipment, as well as assist in the recouping of damaged freight. This is a part-time position on the second shift. Responsibilities include preparing, sweeping, inspecting, and cleaning trailers before loading freight, using safe lifting techniques, and selecting and using proper freight handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, drum trucks, pallet jacks, and rollers. You will also weigh and dimension shipments, plan cube utilization and weight distribution, count and inspect freight for damage, review freight bills and manifests, check for special instructions and discrepancies, verify hazardous material information and placarding, and properly block and brace freight.
