About The Position

HubSpot is seeking an Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) to join their growth engine. This role is ideal for individuals who are driven by results, eager to launch a long-term career in tech sales, and thrive on challenges. As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for prospects, responsible for sparking conversations through strategic outreach, identifying customer pain points, and qualifying leads. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives to secure high-quality meetings that contribute to pipeline, impact, and revenue. This position is designed as the first of three levels in HubSpot's BDR program, providing a clear path for growth into a full-cycle closer role. It is not a temporary position but a foundational role for building skills and a career in sales.

  • Either have past sales success or have demonstrated excellence in goal-driven roles (think: fundraising, athletics, service industry, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute outbound prospecting through high-volume outreach (60–100+ activities/day) via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to target strategic accounts and refine outreach strategy.
  • Qualify leads based on fit, need, and urgency — and book quality discovery meetings.
  • Hit (and exceed) KPIs for activity, meetings delivered, and pipeline impact.
  • Grow fast. Learn fast. Get coached. Apply it. Repeat.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $53,800 annually
  • On-target commission: $23,000 annually
  • OTE (on-target earnings): $76,800 annually
  • With each promotion, both salary and commission increase
  • Equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) may be available for some roles.
