Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 0–2 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
  • Strong research skills with curiosity about prospects' businesses and industries
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to develop and refine your sales voice
  • Coachable and receptive to feedback with a genuine growth mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • Surplus Lines / Non-Admitted Insurance experience a plus but not required
  • SaaS or InsurTech sales experience a plus but not required
  • Experience using CRM tools preferred; HubSpot experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting via email, phone, and social selling — with guidance and support from the Lead OAE
  • Follow up promptly and professionally on inbound leads generated by Marketing, advancing them through the sales funnel
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact through discovery, demo, negotiation, and close — with coaching support on complex deals
  • Deliver clear, compelling sales presentations and product demos to business owners and department leaders
  • Build consultative, trust-based relationships by understanding each prospect's business challenges and tailoring solutions accordingly
  • Collaborate with Marketing on outbound campaigns to drive demand and improve funnel performance
  • Research and qualify prospects using trade publications, industry resources, and social platforms
  • Prepare sales service agreements and pricing proposals in collaboration with the Lead OAE and VP of Sales
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity records in the CRM
  • Participate actively in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and coaching calls
  • Travel to customer sites and industry events as needed (anticipated up to ~20%)
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

  • Health, dental, and vision plans
  • 4 weeks of Paid Time Off
  • 10 Paid Company Holidays with 2 floating holidays
  • 401K Programs with employer match
  • Personal assistance programs for support in a healthy personal and work life
