About The Position

SOLV Energy’s Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) division provides operational technology solutions intended to maximize energy production at utility-scale renewable generation plants. The OTS Materials & Contracting Operations Lead is responsible for OTS procurement activities, integrator contracting, and production oversight. The position may be remote or hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, California, or Bend, Oregon. Specific location details and expectations are discussed during the interview process. The role supports estimating and project delivery by maintaining equipment pricing and bills of material, soliciting and evaluating vendor proposals, selecting and contracting integrators and other vendors, and coordinating equipment procurement and delivery. It also manages integrator production schedules, vendor and service accounts, and monthly inventory-material reporting.

Requirements

At least 3 to 4 years of utility-scale solar SCADA industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in procurement, contracting, or materials management specific to SCADA systems.
Experience forecasting and purchasing SCADA-related materials and services.
Experience with cost tracking and budget management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Power BI.
Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, P6, or Smartsheet.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Assist with reviews of outgoing estimates and update equipment information in the estimating tool as needed.
Review and update equipment pricing in the estimating tool quarterly.
Send requests for proposals to integrators and MET vendors, compare proposals with project bids, and confirm pricing is within budget.
Work with the OTS Project Development Manager to select an integrator and MET vendor for each project.
Oversee subcontracting for integrators and MET vendors on active projects.
Contract SCADA design drafters and third-party SCADA vendors for applicable active projects.
Negotiate and communicate third-party SCADA provider liquidated-damages caps to the OTS Pre-Construction Project Manager for inclusion in the prime EPC contract.
Maintain the master bill of material (BOM) in the estimating tool and build project BOMs when projects begin design.
Participate in BOM review meetings with assigned project managers, the Pre-Construction Project Manager, and SCADA Design Engineers before design begins.
Determine equipment lead times and ordering deadlines to meet target on-site dates.
Maintain the datasheet repository with current equipment information from the master BOM.
Develop and maintain relationships with material vendors and suppliers, seek competitive equipment pricing, and maintain a vendor contact list.
Order project equipment and ensure timely delivery to integrators; place ad hoc orders for delivery to project sites as directed by the OTS Project Manager.
Order MET switches for applicable SOLV OTS SCADA projects.
Maintain production schedules with integrators and ensure equipment builds meet desired timelines.
Conduct bi-weekly meetings with each integrator to communicate project updates and participate in weekly OTS project manager meetings to provide production updates and gather feedback.
Participate in SOW and exhibit reviews as requested by the OTS Pre-Construction Project Manager.
Manage the OTS Cradlepoint (NetCloud) account and ensure Cradlepoints are operational for project deployments.
Manage OTS AT&T/Verizon and Starlink accounts, establishing needed service lines and terminating unused lines.
Work with accounting and finance monthly to update the Inventory Materials report.
