About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join its safety-conscious team in La Porte, Texas. The route runs from La Porte, Texas, to Bristol, Connecticut, covering approximately 2,800–3,000 miles weekly, with a minimum of two weeks out. The role averages $200,000–$250,000 per year and offers bi-weekly home time. Compensation may include on-duty time paid through hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay.

Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
• At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Ability to effectively use required technology, including mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Make health and safety the top priority by following safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
• Operate tractor-trailer units.
• Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of equipment.
• Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is properly loaded and unloaded, and secure loads appropriately.
• Placard vehicles in accordance with Company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, invoices, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
