OTR Class A Owner Operator
About The Position
Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join its safety-conscious team in La Porte, Texas. The route runs from La Porte, Texas, to Bristol, Connecticut, covering approximately 2,800–3,000 miles per week, with a minimum of two weeks out and bi-weekly home time. The role averages $200,000–$250,000 per year. Compensation includes pay for on-duty time through hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay. The position involves operating tractor-trailer units and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste while following health, safety, company, and Department of Transportation requirements. Requirements
- Class A CDL.
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
- At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
- Ability to effectively use required technology, including mobile applications and computer software.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize health and safety by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
- Operate tractor-trailer units.
- Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of units.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and properly secure loads.
- Placard the vehicle in accordance with company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
