About The Position

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute West Region is seeking a Full Time Orthopedic Tech to join their Orthopedics Department in Tampa, FL. The Orthopedic Tech will be responsible for assembling and applying different types of casts and various braces according to physician orders. This role operates on a Monday - Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• None.

Responsibilities

• Assists with transport of patients.
• Performs any variation of the job that is directly related to the function of an orthopedic technician.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Assists the orthopedic surgeons requested.
• Participates in Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Indicator (QI) as assigned.
• Performs patient rounds, charting, charging, regular cleaning of equipment and in service education that is directly related to the orthopedic technician service.
