About The Position

Abrazo Medical Group, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to address the growing demand in Phoenix's West Valley. This role offers practice within a well-resourced, employed model, providing access to both hospital operating rooms and a dedicated ambulatory surgery center. As part of a large healthcare system, physicians will benefit from administrative infrastructure, established payer relationships, and operational support, allowing them to focus on patient care. This is a high-volume, full-scope opportunity with potential for growth.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
  • Completion of a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery fellowship.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).
  • Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Surgery of the Hand.
  • Experience with microsurgical techniques for vessel and nerve repair.
  • Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Practice at Abrazo West Campus Hospital and West ASMC Clinic.
  • Conduct 2-3 OR days and 2-3 clinic days per week.
  • Provide full clinical scope, including surgical and non-surgical care for the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow, covering both elective and trauma cases.
  • Utilize advanced microsurgical capabilities such as microvascular reconstruction, free tissue transfer, and complex limb salvage.
  • Participate in a call rotation of approximately 1 week per month, shared with group partners.
  • Collaborate with certified hand therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
