Orthopedic Surgeon Independent Contractor
About The Position
Concentra, a large healthcare company, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to work on-site as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract role is designed to complement your existing practice. A typical engagement involves treating patients at a Concentra location for approximately 4 hours per week or bi-weekly. Concentra Advanced Specialists manage medically complex patients, facilitating their return to work and functional restoration. In collaboration with medical and therapy providers, you will offer non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. You will also communicate with employers and actively participate in case management. The treatments provided will significantly impact the lives of patients seeking care and comfort.
Requirements
- Licensure requirements of the state of practice
- Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
- Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

- Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries
