About The Position

Concentra, one of the largest health care companies in the nation, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to work on-site as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract position is designed to complement your current private practice, typically involving a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis at Concentra. As a Concentra Advanced Specialist, you will assist in managing medically complex patients, aiming to expedite their return to work and functional restoration. You will collaborate with medical and therapy providers to offer both non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, you will communicate with employers and actively participate in case management, making a significant difference in the lives of patients.

Requirements

• Licensure requirements of the state of practice
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries

Responsibilities

• Treating patients on site at Concentra for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis
• Provide specialist services, both non-surgical and surgical, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work related injuries
• Communicate with employers and take an active role in the case management
