About The Position

Concentra, a large healthcare company, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to work as a 1099 independent contractor at one of their locations. This contract role is designed to complement an existing private practice, typically involving a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Concentra Advanced Specialists assist in managing medically complex patients, aiming to expedite their return to work and functional restoration. The role involves collaborating with medical and therapy providers to offer specialist services, both non-surgical and surgical, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. The surgeon will also communicate with employers and actively participate in case management, providing care that significantly impacts patients' lives.

Requirements

  • Licensure requirements of the state of practice
  • Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
  • Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries
