About The Position

Concentra, a leading healthcare company, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to join their team as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract position is designed to complement the surgeon's existing private practice, typically involving a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis at a Concentra location. Concentra Advanced Specialists are crucial in managing medically complex patients, facilitating their return to work, and restoring functional capabilities. The role involves collaborating with medical and therapy providers to deliver both non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, the surgeon will be responsible for communicating with employers and actively participating in case management, making a significant impact on patients' lives.

Requirements

• Licensure requirements of the state of practice
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of medically complex patients, expedite return to work and functional restoration.
• Provide specialist services, both non-surgical and surgical, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work related injuries.
• Communicate with employers and take an active role in the case management.
• Work half a day per week or biweekly.
• Utilize flexible scheduling with consideration of your private practice.
• Compensation for services is determined by a revenue share model.
