The practice is seeking a surgeon who is motivated to build and grow with the company, rather than just join an existing structure. The role offers a near full case load from day one, with opportunities to focus on various subspecialties or general orthopedics. The position provides infrastructure for growth, including support staff, EMR, referral networks, and partnerships with health systems. The role also offers potential equity and the chance to be a partner in shaping the future of orthopedic care.

Requirements

BC/BE in orthopedics (generalist or subspecialist).
Licensed in Illinois or able to be licensed.
Thinks like an operator, caring about efficiency, outcomes data, and sustainable unit economics.

Responsibilities

High-volume, high-variety casework across various orthopedic subspecialties (sports medicine, total joint replacement, spine, hand & wrist, shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, foot & ankle, pediatrics, or General Orthopedics).
Shaping clinical protocols with a data-obsessed and outcomes-driven team, with a focus on cost reduction.
Research and product development opportunities.
Team physician roles with professional sports teams and local institutions.
Practice-building, including referrals, relationships, and community presence.
