About The Position

When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” As an Orthopedic Surgeon for Sports Medicine and part of the Musculoskeletal team at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you can expect to work at the Spanish Fork Hospital; seeing a mix of OR and in-office orthopedic surgical patients. This position includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable). You will practice at the Spanish Fork Hospital. You can anticipate 2 days per week in clinic, dedicated in-office and 2 days OR surgical time. Some patient-preferred hours will be required with local community travel requirements in Utah County. Orthopedic 1 and 6 call required for level 3 trauma patients; compensation offered for call requirement. Local ASC with potential to participate.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree; or equivalent if education is completed outside the United States
  • Completion of graduate fellowship medical education training program in Orthopedic Surgery with a CAQ board certification in Sports Medicine
  • Graduate education must be obtained through an ACGME or AOA accredited institution
  • ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification in the specialty(s) or subspecialty(s) of practice
  • Fellowship in Orthopedics Sports Medicine and completion of CAQ
  • Active Medical Licensure, or in process of obtaining licensure, is required in the state in which physician will practice
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • DEA Registration schedules II-V
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • Not requiring Visa sponsorship at this time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest with D1 athletics or professional sporting team coverage
  • Completed their CAQ in Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Responsibilities
