About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Orthopedic Surgeon in Clinton, NC. The role involves providing 24-hour call coverage for general orthopedic surgery, including emergency department coverage. Responsibilities include managing consults, performing ED visits for procedures like closed reductions and admissions, stabilizing and transferring long bone trauma, and maintaining accurate documentation in the MediTech EMR system. The coverage period is from October 13-16, 2026.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC) required
- Licensed in NC
- DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS certifications
- Must be vaccinated.
- Must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS.

Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for general orthopedic surgery, including emergency department coverage.
- Manage consults (0-3 per day) and provide medical management for orthopedic patients.
- Perform ED visits for closed reductions, admissions, and surgical procedures (wrist, ankle, and hip fractures; I&D).
- Stabilize and transfer long bone trauma as necessary.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the MediTech EMR system.
