About The Position

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained spine surgeon to practice in Oak Brook, Illinois, within a full-spectrum musculoskeletal platform serving patients across 16 Chicagoland clinics. The role offers a full case load from day one, support from 1–3 advanced practice providers, shared call, and a partnership-track opportunity with potential for equity. The practice is designed to support conservative treatment before surgery through access to physical therapy, injections, imaging, and pain management, with surgical care when clinically appropriate. The surgeon will treat a broad range of spine conditions and procedures, from cervical, thoracic, and lumbar degenerative disease to complex reconstruction, revision surgery, deformity correction, trauma, tumors, and infection. The role also offers access to clinical trials, product development, research, and academic opportunities. Requirements

Board certified or board eligible in orthopedic surgery.
Fellowship training in spine surgery.
Licensed in Illinois or eligible for Illinois licensure.
Commitment to thorough conservative care before surgery when appropriate.
Technical breadth and comfort treating the full spectrum of spine cases, including complex and revision cases.
Ability and interest in coordinating care across a multidisciplinary spine platform.
Alignment with serving underserved patients and Genesis's patient-centered mission.
Interest in a partnership and equity pathway.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients across the full spectrum of spine conditions.
Provide and coordinate conservative care, including physical therapy, injections, imaging, and pain management, before considering surgery when appropriate.
Perform spine procedures when clinically indicated, including decompression, minimally invasive surgery, cervical and lumbar fusion, complex reconstruction and revision, deformity correction, trauma management, and motion-preservation procedures.
Coordinate care across imaging, physical therapy, pain management, surgical planning, and postoperative rehabilitation.
Participate in clinical research, product development, or academic opportunities as applicable.
Contribute to building the spine practice and care platform.
