About The Position

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a talented and caring Orthodontic Assistant to support the Orthodontist and help provide high-quality patient care. The assistant performs clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist, prepares patient operatories and equipment, and assists the doctor during examinations and orthodontic treatment. The role also includes helping patients understand their treatment and appliance care, documenting treatment accurately, and collaborating with the team throughout the patient’s care journey.

Requirements

• Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology.

• Bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, helping patients feel comfortable and ensuring procedures run smoothly.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support clinical workflows.
• Perform orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers, under direct supervision.
• Conduct digital scans and assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
• Educate patients about treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
• Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team to deliver patient care.
