About The Position

Loudoun County Government's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is seeking a dynamic Organizational Performance Management Team Lead to build and maintain its performance management program. This role will involve developing and refining performance indicators, supporting departmental reporting and dashboards, and fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making. The position is eligible for telework after an initial training period. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong leadership, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, thriving in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The team will work closely with departments to monitor performance indicators, create dashboards and reports, provide training on performance management practices, and integrate performance data into budget decisions and strategic planning. OMB is responsible for coordinating the measurement and reporting of Countywide key performance indicators, supporting departments in aligning metrics to service levels, providing training and consultation, and using analytics to inform evidence-based budget decisions. The work products and recommendations from this position will guide the Budget Director, County Administrator, and Board of Supervisors on organizational performance, resource alignment, and progress toward outcomes. OMB is a multi-divisional office within the Office of the County Administrator, overseeing budget development, debt management, demographic forecasting, and organizational performance management, with a focus on innovation, problem-solving, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, Political Science/Government, Data Analytics, Finance or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience in public administration or organizational performance management.
