About The Position

The client is seeking an experienced Change Management Specialist to support the Procurement System Modernization initiative within the 1GX Business Excellence – Communications, Organizational Change Management (OCM), and Training team. The consultant will develop and execute organizational change management strategies, communication plans, stakeholder engagement activities, and readiness programs to ensure successful adoption of new ERP capabilities and business processes.

Requirements

  • University degree in Commerce, Communications, Business, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
  • Prosci Change Management Certification, CCMP (Certified Change Management Professional), ACMP Certification, or Equivalent Change Management Certification.
  • 4+ years applying Change Management methodologies and principles
  • 4+ years consultation, facilitation, stakeholder relationship management
  • 5+ years developing communications and executive presentations
  • 5+ years creating Change Strategies, Change Impact Assessments, Communication Plans, Readiness Plans
  • 5+ years developing readiness programs, training, and stakeholder engagement
  • 4+ years ERP change management experience (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Finance, HCM, Payroll, Supply Chain)
  • 4+ years negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, NotebookLM)
  • Experience with Digital Adoption Platforms (WalkMe, Whatfix, Pendo)
  • Government of Alberta experience
  • Alberta public sector experience
  • Understanding of Government business planning and priorities
  • Experience facilitating executive-level meetings

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies.
  • Create Change Strategies, Change Impact Assessments, and Readiness Assessments.
  • Develop communication strategies, communication plans, and communication materials.
  • Conduct stakeholder identification, stakeholder analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Build resistance management and adoption plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sponsors, business teams, vendors, and the 1GX Change Network.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, resource estimation, and work plans.
  • Identify and manage change-related risks and issues.
  • Develop executive presentations and communications.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder sessions.
  • Measure adoption, readiness, and success metrics.
  • Support ERP implementation and sustainment activities.
  • Ensure successful rollout of technology solutions.
  • Produce engaging communication content for various audiences.
  • Utilize AI-enabled productivity tools (Copilot, Gemini, NotebookLM, etc.) where appropriate.
  • Provide change management coaching and advisory services.
