About The Position

The Organ Procurement Coordinator partners with the multidisciplinary transplant team to manage and coordinate organ referrals, organ evaluations, and transplant patient logistics during the perioperative transplant phase. The coordinator evaluates organ-offer suitability as directed by the solid-organ transplant program’s surgical director and in accordance with regulatory requirements established by OPTN/UNOS and CMS.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field is required; a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• One year of experience in organ procurement or equivalent experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a Procurement Transplant Coordinator (preferred).
• Certification as an Emergency Medicine Technician (preferred).
