About The Position

New England Donor Services (NEDS) is seeking an Organ Clinical Coordinator (OCC) to serve as a hospital’s and/or transplant center’s first point of contact for organ donation and transplantation. In this pivotal, fast-paced healthcare role, the OCC answers incoming referral calls, screens for donor suitability, and coordinates the logistics of organ recovery and placement for transplantation. The position involves regular contact with transplant surgeons, transplant coordinators, and other hospital staff to facilitate the transplant process and support NEDS’s mission to save and heal lives through organ and tissue donation. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts and one 12-hour on-call shift per week. Shifts are typically 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m., with possible swing shifts. Overnight, holiday, and weekend work is required, and schedules may change, so flexibility is essential. One 12-hour shift may be worked remotely when workload allows. Most shifts are onsite at NEDS’s headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts; remote opportunities may be available after completion of orientation, which takes several months. Candidates must live within 60–90 minutes of Waltham.
