About The Position

This is a full-time position located at JEB Little Creek – Fort Story, Virginia Beach, VA. A SECRET clearance is required. The role involves assisting the Weapons Department in daily Ordnance operations, coordinating with supported commands, and preparing documentation for the movement of munitions. The position provides technical advice on munitions movement via all transportation modes, utilizing technical publications, and familiarity with DD Form 2790 and DD Form 626.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of Ordnance HAZMAT shipping experience within the past 3 years.
• AMMO-62 HAZMAT Certifier certification for shipping.
• Documentation of previous Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Member.
• Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Weapons Department in day-to-day Ordnance operations.
• Coordinates with supported commands and prepare required documentation to facilitate movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands.
• Provides detailed technical advice and assistance pertaining to the movement of munitions via all modes of transportation.
• Use technical publications to facilitate shipment priorities and be familiar with DD Form 2790 and DD Form 626.
