The primary responsibility of the In-Room Dining Cashier/ Order taker is to take guests orders over the phone in a quick and friendly manner. Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings Take the guest order, always trying to use suggestive/ upselling techniques Provide an expected delivery time for their order Place and log call backs for all IRD orders within appropriate time frame to ensure guest satisfaction Communicate daily specials and answer any questions guest may have in regard to the menu having to do with food and / or beverage Anticipate guests’ service needs by asking appropriate questions Speak to guests’ and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language Process all guest orders thru the POS terminal noting food modifiers for guest special requests Adhere to the Hard Rock cash handling policy Adhere to PCI compliance with regard to protecting guest information Protecting basic information from guest such as name, room numbers and credit card information. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures ( e.g blind drops) Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedure Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures Notify management of maintenance repair issues Consider the satisfaction of all guests by ensuring prompt, courteous and efficient service at all times Assist the department to drive guest satisfaction by providing consistent guest experiences Properly address guest requests and inquiries by following departmental verbal script Other duties as assigned
